Mission:

The 3rd Battalion, 1st Special Warfare Training Group (Airborne) trains and educates Army Special Operations Forces in Psychological Operations, Civil Affairs, and regional studies; conduct Language Training for ARSOF Soldiers and other DOD personnel.

Commander’s Intent:

Purpose – Provide our active, reserve and national guard ARSOF groups competent, confident and career-minded professionals;

Method - Via standardization, soldierization, operationalization and regimentalization, we’ll train our Soldiers as they’ll fight;

End State - Fill the force with mission focused, operationally relevant and ready ARSOF operators.

Course Offerings

PSYOP Officer's Course: 4.6 weeks in length, the course is offered 4 times a year annually in January, February, June and July.

Reserve Component PSYOP Officer's Course: is 24 days in length and is offered twice a year in March and again in April.

Civil Affairs Officer's Qualification Course (Phases I & II): The Active Duty Course is 4 weeks in length and is offered 4 times a year in January, February, June and July.

Civil Affairs Officer's Qualification Course (Phase II): The Reserve Army Officers Course is two weeks long and is offered approximately 7 times a year.

Advance Individual Training (AIT) 37F PSYOP Enlisted MOS Qualification is 11.5 weeks in length and is offered 8 times a year

Advance Individual Training (AIT) 38A Civil Affairs Enlisted MOS Qualification is 11.5 weeks in length and is offered 8 times a year

Regional Studies Course is 16 weeks long and is offered twice a year in February and again in July.

Language Training There are 20 different language programs offered. The courses are approximately 4-6 months in duration. Languages offered include:
